The Klymit Insulated Static V Luxe SL is the warmest pad in the Static V line and one of the roomiest — 198×68.6 cm gives generous length and width, and an 8.9 cm loft adds real distance from the ground. Unlike the rest of the range, which relies on Klymalite synthetic fill, this pad uses a reflective foil insulation layer instead, which is why its R-value of 6.5 is measured by Klymit's own proprietary method rather than the ASTM standard.
At 887 g and packing to 23×18 cm, that's a strong insulation-to-weight ratio — lighter than you'd expect for an R-value this high. Vertical baffles hold the shape, and the pad is compatible with a pump sack (sold separately) for faster, moisture-free inflation. It suits three- to four-season trekking and colder camps where thermal protection is the priority, without stepping all the way up to a dedicated winter expedition pad.
