The Sea to Summit Ultralight Air Sleeping Mat is a pure air pad with no insulating fill — an ASTM R-value of 1.1 makes it a warm-weather product for above-freezing nights only, requiring a foam pad or warmer bag underneath for colder conditions. Its single-layer Air Sprung Cell construction supports the user entirely on a 5 cm air cushion.
The Small size weighs 345 g bare, 381 g packed with accessories, and compresses down to a 9 × 18 cm cylinder — one of the more compact pads in its category, which matters as much as weight for ultralight packing where pack volume is also a constraint. It ships with an Airstream pump sack, which keeps moist breath out of the pad and extends the fabric's service life, plus a repair kit for field punctures.
PillowLock compatibility lets a pillow clip in place so it doesn't slide during the night. The main trade-off is the one shared by all pure air pads: lower puncture resistance compared with self-inflating or foam alternatives.
