Yate Alu Matte 190/60

The Yate Alu Matte 190/60 is an ultralight closed-cell foam sleeping pad with a reflective aluminium foil laminated to one side, designed to bounce radiant body heat back toward the sleeper. At just 130 g for a 190 × 60 cm pad, it ranks among the lightest sleeping pads available, though its 3 mm thickness and R-value of 0.5 place it firmly in the summer-only category — without extra insulation underneath, expect the cold to creep in once night temperatures drop. There is no valve or air chamber to worry about: unroll it and it is ready to use. Rolled up it packs down to just 31 × 10 cm, small enough to disappear into any ultralight pack. The foil surface is also silent, unlike the crinkle of an inflatable pad, which matters when sharing a tent. It works best as a supplementary layer under an inflatable pad to boost overall R-value, or on its own for summer bikepacking and fast, minimal-weight trips. For shoulder-season nights near or below freezing, it will not provide enough insulation by itself.
