Osprey Eja 48

The Osprey Eja 48 is a women's ultralight pack built for multi-day trekking and thru-hiking, where every gram counts. The suspension uses a peripheral aluminum frame with a tensioned AirSpeed mesh back panel; the frame is fixed in place, unlike some ultralight competitors that let you remove it. Torso length adjusts across a 41–50 cm range, so the pack fits without needing multiple sizes. At 1,250 g for 48 liters, that's 26 g per liter — solidly ultralight territory. The body is 100D recycled ripstop nylon, 100% recycled content, bluesign-certified, with a PFC/PFAS-free DWR finish. A removable lid, two stretch-mesh side pockets, and ice axe loops round out the feature set. There's no integrated rain cover, so you'll need your own solution for wet stretches — a typical ultralight trade-off, cutting extras to keep overall weight down.
