HydroBlu Activated Carbon Filter for Versa Flow

The HydroBlu Activated Carbon Filter is a replacement cartridge for the Versa Flow system that addresses a different side of water treatment than the main membrane: a blend of activated carbon and ion-exchange microbeads targets heavy metals, chlorine, pesticides and herbicides — chemical and taste contamination that membrane filtration alone doesn't remove. It hasn't been tested against bacteria or protozoa on its own, so it works as a complement to the Versa Flow's primary filter element rather than a replacement for it. Its roughly 568-liter capacity is typical for a carbon cartridge in a compact filter system; once spent, it's simply swapped for a new one rather than backflushed. At 57 g it's a light addition to a kit, useful especially in areas where water is biologically safe after filtration but chemically or aesthetically compromised — near agricultural runoff, for example, or in regions relying on heavily chlorinated tap or municipal sources.
