Katadyn BeFree Replacement Filter

This is the replacement hollow-fibre cartridge for the Katadyn BeFree squeeze filter system, sharing the same 0.1-micron membrane, up to 2 l/min flow rate and roughly 1000 l rated lifespan as the original. At 25 g it adds almost nothing to pack weight, so carrying a spare cartridge on a long trip is a cheap way to hedge against a clogged or ageing filter rather than risking untreated water. It only fits Katadyn BeFree bottles and reservoirs — it is not a universal cartridge — and like the original it filters bacteria and protozoa but not viruses. Buy this when your existing BeFree cartridge is nearing its 1000 l mark or flow has dropped even after shaking it clean.
