MSR Blizzard Tent Stake

This is the single-unit version of MSR's Blizzard snow stake: one broad, flat aluminum peg, 24 cm long, weighing 27 g, in high-visibility orange rather than the plain silver finish of the multi-packs. It's aimed at hikers who need to replace a lost or bent stake from a Blizzard set, or who want to build a custom stake bag with a specific mix of quantities and types rather than buying a fixed four-pack. Functionally it works the same way as the packaged version: the flat cross-section resists pulling through loose snow or sand in a way a narrow stake can't, and it can be driven vertically or buried horizontally as a deadman anchor when the ground offers no firm bite. The orange color is a practical touch on snow, where a silver stake half-buried in white can be genuinely hard to spot when breaking camp. As with the full set, it's a specialist tool for soft or loose terrain, not a lighter-weight everyday stake for dirt and rock.
