Warmpeace Snow/Sand Tent Stake

The Warmpeace Snow/Sand Tent Stake is a 32 cm aluminium 7075 peg weighing 60 g, with a wide U-profile designed to hold in loose or granular ground where a standard thin stake just pulls straight out. A tether cord and carabiner are attached, useful for burying the stake as a deadman anchor in snow rather than driving it in. At 60 g each, these are heavier than typical Y- or V-profile stakes meant for firm dirt, and that weight is the tradeoff for the surface area that makes them actually hold in sand or soft snow. They are the right choice for beach camping, dune camping, or snow-season trips - overkill, and needlessly heavy, for ordinary compacted trail ground where a standard aluminium stake would do the job for less weight.
