Description
The SuperLight Tarp S is DD Hammocks' smallest ultralight shelter, weighing just 290 g thanks to ripstop nylon and a 3,000 mm PU coating that holds up in sustained rain. At 280 × 150 cm with a 2.8 m ridgeline and 19 reinforced attachment points, it covers a single sleeper or hangs over a hammock, and the pitch reconfigures between A-frame, diamond, and bivi layouts depending on terrain and wind.
Since it relies on guylines and anchor points rather than a self-supporting pole structure, pitching quality depends on tensioning skill and suitable anchors — trees, rocks, or trekking poles. That trade-off keeps the weight down, making the tarp a natural fit for bikepacking, trail running, and fastpacking where a full tent would be overkill.
Given its size and minimalist coverage, it works best as an emergency or backup shelter rather than a primary basecamp setup for exposed multi-day trips — riders and runners who already carry a bivy or sleeping system get the most out of its low weight and pack size.
