Description

At 4.5 × 2.9 m and 13.05 m² of coverage, the SuperLight Tarp XL is a considerably larger shelter than DD Hammocks' S-sized version, yet it still weighs only 720 g by using silnylon fabric and a flat rectangular cut rather than a shaped panel. The same 3,000 mm PU coating keeps out sustained rain, and 19 reinforced attachment points give enough anchor options to pitch it low and tight in wind or opened up for airflow. Unlike the smaller tarp, this one doesn't require poles to pitch — it's built to work as a hammock cover, strung between trees on its own lines, or dropped closer to the ground as an enclosed shelter for one or two people. The flat-rectangular design trades some of the wind-shedding efficiency of a catenary cut for simplicity and pitching flexibility. At 720 g it's heavier than typical solo ultralight tarps, which reflects its size: this is a shelter for hammock campers or groups wanting genuine weather protection rather than the lightest possible emergency cover, and it suits multi-day trips more than fast-and-light missions.
