Big Agnes Copper Spur 2

The Big Agnes Copper Spur 2 is a lightweight two-person, three-season freestanding double-wall tent — the base Copper Spur build without the HV (high volume) wall shaping or Long length extension found on other variants in the line. Two DAC Featherlite NFL/NSL aluminum poles (8.7 mm diameter) pitch it freestanding, useful on rocky or sandy ground where staking out a shelter is awkward. The 15D ripstop nylon fly with HyperBead coating and the 20D solution-dyed nylon floor share a 1,500 mm waterproof rating, a solid figure for three-season use, with factory-taped seams throughout. At 1,361 g packaged weight (1,220 g minimum trail weight), it works out to 681 g per person, putting it among the lighter two-person shelters suited to thru-hiking as well as regular weekend trips. Two doors and two vestibules totaling 1.67 m² give each occupant independent access and gear storage, and a single vent at the peak assists airflow. A footprint is sold separately rather than included.
