Big Agnes Seedhouse SL1

The Seedhouse SL1 is a freestanding one-person, three-season dome tent built on DAC Pressfit aluminum poles with an inner-first pitch. As a solo tent its per-person figures are simply the tent's own: 1502 g trail weight (1328 g minimum without stakes and sacks), 1.86 m² of bathtub floor, and a single door leading to a modest 0.46 m² vestibule. Fly fabric is silicone/PU-treated nylon ripstop rated to 1200 mm, while the floor uses a heavier PU-coated polyester taffeta rated to 1500 mm — a sensible split, since the floor takes more abrasion and benefits from the extra waterproofing margin. The inner body is full mesh for ventilation, seams are factory taped, and nine aluminum stakes come included. A dedicated footprint is sold separately and weighs 113 g on its own. At 104 cm peak height it's a low, efficient tunnel-style dome rather than a stand-up shelter, which is typical for solo backpacking tents in this weight range. It suits hikers who want a fully freestanding, bug-proof one-person shelter for backpacking and thru-hiking without stepping into trekking-pole tarp territory.
