Big Agnes Tiger Wall UL1

The Tiger Wall UL1 is a one-person ultralight double-wall tent from Big Agnes's UL line, semi-freestanding — meaning it stands up partially on its own but still needs stakes for a full, taut pitch. Two DAC Featherlite NFL aluminum poles form a dome shape, pitched inner-first (inner tent goes up before the fly). At 850 g trail weight, it sits among the lighter one-person UL tents; total packaged weight including stakes and accessories comes to 992 g. A 1.8 m² floor and 99 cm peak height give a single occupant a decent amount of interior room (2.5 m² total living space including the vestibule), while the 0.7 m² vestibule holds a pack and boots. Both the vestibule-to-floor ratio (39%) and the space-efficiency index of 1.81 are above average for the category. It packs down to a compact 43×14 cm, easy to fit into a pack for thru-hiking or multi-day treks. The double-wall design manages condensation better than single-wall tents, at the cost of slightly more weight and a longer pitch time compared to the lightest single-wall shelters.
