REI Co-op Half Dome SL 2+ Tent with Footprint

The REI Co-op Half Dome SL 2+ is a freestanding, double-wall dome tent for two, built for three-season use. Two DAC Featherlite NFL aluminum poles hold the structure, so it pitches quickly and stands on its own even on uneven ground without staking. The inner tent is full mesh and paired with two adjustable vents, which keeps air moving on warmer nights. Floor area comes to 3.14 m² (1.57 m² per person) with a 107 cm peak height, giving two people room to sit up, while two vestibules totaling 2.09 m² handle packs and boots outside the sleeping area. Both the fly and floor are 40D nylon with a PU coating and factory-taped seams, so sustained rain shouldn't be a problem. A footprint is included, saving a separate purchase. Four interior pockets, a gear loft, and twelve stakes round out the kit for regular backpacking and multi-day trips. At 1782 g trail weight (2138 g packaged), it's a reasonably light conventional freestanding dome, though not light enough to satisfy strict ultralight goals.
