Description
The Cumulus Quilt 250 is a down quilt in Long size, fitting users up to 200 cm tall, filled with 280 g of 850 cuin goose down at a 95/5 down-to-feather ratio, for a total weight of 520 g. H-baffle chambers control down distribution better than simple sewn-through baffles, reducing cold spots along the seams, and a short footbox zip lets the quilt open flat into a blanket for warmer nights or layer as a top quilt over a sleeping bag.
The Pertex Quantum shell at 29 g/m² is light and DWR-treated to shed light moisture, though it is not a waterproof fabric, so the quilt still needs a dry tent or bivy in wet conditions. There is no hood, so it pairs with a separate hat or a sleeping bag hood on cold nights, and pad-attachment straps stop it sliding off a sleeping pad; a stuff sack is included. Cumulus rates the 250 at 4 °C comfort and 0 °C limit, so the quilt covers spring, summer and mild autumn nights.
