The Therm-a-Rest Vesper 45F/7C is the lightest and warmest-limit variant of the summer quilt lineup, with a comfort rating around 11°C and a limit rating of 7°C — a genuinely summer-only piece rather than a versatile 3-season quilt. Construction mirrors the rest of the Vesper family: no zipper, no hood, SynergyLink connectors to strap it to your sleeping pad. Fill is 900-fill Nikwax Hydrophobic Down, RDS-certified, distributed unevenly (roughly 60/40) with more loft concentrated on top where it actually does something useful lying under you. The sewn trapezoidal footbox and 10D nylon ripstop shell keep total weight down to just 340 g, of which 180 g is down fill. A 147 cm shoulder width leaves enough room to move around at night without adding unnecessary bulk to the quilt. For ultralight hikers chasing a minimal base weight on warm-season trips, this is about as light as insulation gets in this temperature bracket — but there's essentially no margin for a colder-than-expected night.
