At 339 g, the Premium Burrow 40 is the lightest quilt in Hammock Gear's Premium Burrow lineup, built for warm three-season nights down to a 40°F (4°C) comfort rating. It reaches that weight partly through a higher fill power than its siblings — 950 versus the 850 used elsewhere in the range — which lets 200 g of goose down provide comparable loft to a larger quantity of lower-grade fill. The down is RDS-certified and PFC-free, and sits in vertical baffles inside a 10D DWR-treated ripstop nylon shell made in the USA. As with the rest of the family, it's a true quilt with no zipper or hood, so its warmth depends on cinching it against a pad or hammock rather than sealing a hood around the head. This is a summer and shoulder-season piece rather than a general-purpose quilt — useful for hikers chasing a genuinely low base weight on warm-weather trips, but it won't cover a cold night the way the 20°F or 0°F versions in the same line would.
