The Exped Versa 4R moves the Versa line up a notch — an R-value of 3.7 (ASTM F3340-18) with 160 g/m² Texpedloft insulation (Synmat Technology) handles cooler shoulder-season nights that the lighter Versa 2R can't. That extra warmth comes at 714 g and 7 cm of thickness, with a correspondingly bulkier 25 × 13.5 cm packed size.
The weight-per-R figure (193 g per point) puts it in the mid-range for efficiency — not an ultralight choice like the Ultra series, but a reasonable compromise for hikers who want one pad to cover most of the year and aren't chasing minimal weight above all else. The top fabric is 75D recycled polyester, Oeko-Tex 100 certified, sturdier than the thinner fabrics on the ultralight models.
The pump is built into the valve, so there's no separate pump sack; the package includes a stuff sack and repair kit. The pad is bluesign certified, PFC-free, and comes with a 5-year warranty.
