The Klymit Static V2 is a lightened evolution of the original Static V, keeping the body-mapped chamber concept but switching to a spaceframe internal construction and pairing a lighter 30D polyester top with a tougher 75D bottom layer. The result is 454 g in the regular size — noticeably less than the base Static V at the same 1.3 R-value.
Inflated it measures 183 × 58.4 × 6.35 cm and packs to 20 × 8 cm. A twist-lock valve holds air without a separate cap, and the package includes a repair kit for field punctures, a detail missing from the entry-level version. Integrated side rails help keep you from sliding off during the night. With an R-value of 1.3 this is a warm-weather pad; shoulder-season use will need supplemental insulation underneath. A reasonable middle ground between price, weight, and comfort for anyone trimming pack weight without jumping to a premium ultralight line.
