The Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Topo is a three-season air pad built on WaveCore construction with horizontal baffles and no supplemental insulation layer — warmth comes purely from the trapped air. An R-value of 2.3 (ASTM F3340-18) covers spring-to-autumn trips and mild summer nights at altitude, but it is not built for freezing bivouacs. The Regular size measures 183 x 51 cm, and 7.6 cm of thickness gives decent cushioning from uneven ground, while 590 g places the Topo among conventional backpacking pads rather than ultralight ones.
Top and bottom 50D polyester fabric handles routine trail abuse, and the single WingLock valve allows quick inflation and controlled deflation. The pad ships with a pump sack, stuff sack, and repair kit, so it is ready to use without buying extra accessories. Noise level is moderate, with the typical crinkle of an air pad shifting under a sleeper. It suits weekend and week-long treks where reliable comfort at a reasonable weight matters more than shaving every last gram.
