Thermarest XTherm Max

The Therm-a-Rest NeoAir XTherm MAX in Large/Wide (196 x 63 cm) is the roomier sibling of the standard XTherm — same R-value of 6.9 (ASTM F3340-18) and the same Triangular Core Matrix construction with four ThermaCapture layers, but in a rectangular rather than tapered shape with a noticeably larger sleeping surface. That extra room costs about 640 g, roughly 200 g more than the standard version. A 30D ripstop nylon top and 70D nylon bottom handle rougher treatment, and the WingLock valve is pump-sack compatible, with that sack included — the box also holds a stuff sack and repair kit. The limited lifetime warranty matches the rest of the XTherm line. The MAX suits taller or more restless sleepers, or anyone who values extra space over shaving off a few dozen grams — thermally and structurally it is otherwise the same winter-capable pad as the standard XTherm.
