Thermarest XTherm Max

The Therm-a-Rest NeoAir XTherm MAX in Large/Wide (196 x 63 cm) is the roomier sibling of the standard XTherm — same R-value of 6.9 (ASTM F3340-18) and the same Triangular Core Matrix construction with four ThermaCapture layers, but in a rectangular rather than tapered shape with a noticeably larger sleeping surface. That extra room costs about 640 g, roughly 200 g more than the standard version. A 30D ripstop nylon top and 70D nylon bottom handle rougher treatment, and the WingLock valve is pump-sack compatible, though the sack is sold separately — the box includes a stuff sack and repair kit. The two-year warranty matches the rest of the XTherm line. The MAX suits taller or more restless sleepers, or anyone who values extra space over shaving off a few dozen grams — thermally and structurally it is otherwise the same winter-capable pad as the standard XTherm.
