The Long Haul 50 is a handmade 50-litre pack made from waterproof EPLX200 Ecopak, this time using removable 7075 aluminum stays instead of the internal frame found on the smaller Long Haul 40. A removable frame makes servicing and washing the pack easier and shaves a little weight compared with a permanently sewn-in system. A padded hip belt with pockets and load lifters help transfer weight to the hips, while a front pocket and hydration-bladder compatibility add practicality the 40L version lacks. At 50 litres and 921 g, that works out to 18.4 g per litre — a somewhat better ratio than the Long Haul 40, thanks to the lighter stay-based frame. The maker rates it for loads up to 40 lbs (about 18 kg), and the roll-top closure lets volume flex with the load. It suits thru-hiking and multi-day trips where hikers need more capacity than the 40L version while keeping the pack's own weight low.
