The Eureka Solitaire AL is an ultralight solo three-season tent built around a single aluminum hoop rather than the twin-pole dome layout of the MIDORI line. Semi-freestanding and pitched fly-first, it weighs 1450 g packaged (1200 g minimum) — meaningfully lighter than any freestanding MIDORI or Mountain Pass tent in this range, and aimed at thru-hikers and ultralight backpackers rather than general car-camping. The trade-off for that weight shows up in the numbers: a 71 cm peak height and 2 m² floor mean a low, close-fitting interior more like a bivy than a stand-up tent, and a single 0.41 m² vestibule leaves modest room for gear compared with the dual-vestibule MIDORI models. The 68D polyester fly carries a 1500 mm waterproof rating with 8.5 mm aluminum poles, and a rollback fly option lets the tent open up for stargazing on clear nights — a feature not found on the fully enclosed dome tents in the range. This suits solo hikers prioritizing pack weight over interior space and headroom, on established three-season trails rather than exposed or wet-weather-heavy routes.
