MSR Hubba Hubba 2-Person Backpacking Tent

The MSR Hubba Hubba 2-Person is a freestanding double-wall dome tent built on two Easton Syclone composite poles. The freestanding design means a quick pitch without relying on stakes for structure, which is part of why this model has remained one of MSR's most widely used 3-season backpacking tents. The 20D ripstop nylon fly, with a combined silicone/PU treatment, and the bathtub floor share a 1200mm waterproof rating — solid for typical 3-season use. Two vestibules totaling 1.4 m² give room to store packs and boots at each of the two doors, and the partial-mesh inner tent helps with airflow and condensation control. A 2.69 m² floor area (1.35 m² per person) and a 101.6 cm peak height keep it comfortable without being unusually spacious. At a minimum weight of 1300 g (650 g per person), it isn't ultralight by strict standards, but combined with the freestanding structure and dual doors, it's a balanced trade-off between weight and livability for backpacking and multi-day treks.
