The Gossamer Gear The DCF Two is the two-person sibling in the DCF shelter line, again a single-wall, trekking-pole-supported design. The fly uses Dyneema Composite Fabric, the floor a 7D nylon ripstop bathtub with a silicone/PU coating, and the walls are full mesh, which does the work of ventilation a second breathable layer would otherwise handle. Minimum trail weight is 590 g; fully rigged with 6 guy points, reflective guylines and stakes it reaches 712 g — 356 g per person, a solid figure for a two-person ultralight shelter. A 2.28 m² floor plus two vestibules totaling 1.86 m² (an 82% vestibule-to-floor ratio) add up to 4.14 m² of living space, enough to stash both hikers' packs outside the sleeping area. Two doors mean each occupant can get in and out without climbing over the other. Being non-freestanding, it needs taut stakes and reasonably firm ground; it's built for pairs splitting shelter weight on three-season backpacking and thru-hiking trips rather than for maximum headroom.
