The Gossamer Gear The One is the brand's long-running single-wall, one-person trekking-pole shelter, built here in the classic silnylon version rather than DCF. Both fly and bathtub floor use 10D silnylon ripstop with a silicone/PU coating and an 1800 mm hydrostatic-head rating — a more conservative but well-proven choice compared to the pricier DCF models in the same lineup. A partial-mesh perimeter helps airflow, and seams come factory taped. Minimum weight is 510 g, rising to 625 g with the full stake and guyline kit (6 stakes included). Floor area of 1.46 m² plus a 0.93 m² vestibule give 2.39 m² of living space, and a 114 cm peak height allows sitting up. As a non-freestanding A-frame, it relies on tension between stakes and the trekking pole, so it needs solid ground to pitch properly.
