The NEMO Aurora is a freestanding, double-wall dome tent built for 2-person, 3-season backpacking, and this bundle includes the matching footprint. Setup follows a pitch-inner-first sequence using a single hubbed aluminum pole (8.5 mm diameter), and the design leans toward livability over minimal weight: a 112 cm peak height, two doors, and two vestibules totaling 1.8 sq m of extra storage — practical for stashing wet gear or cooking out of the rain without crowding sleeping space. Four interior pockets add organization.
Weather protection comes from a 68D polyester fly and 75D recycled polyester floor, both PU-coated to a 2000 mm hydrostatic head with factory-taped seams — solid, dependable waterproofing rather than an ultralight-rated package. At 2560 g packaged (2130 g minimum trail weight, or about 1280 g/1065 g per person for two), it sits in the mainstream backpacking range rather than ultralight: heavier than a minimalist single-wall shelter, but in exchange you get a freestanding pitch, full condensation management, and two full-size doors and vestibules — a reasonable trade for comfort and easy setup over the last few hundred grams.
