The NEMO Kunai is a freestanding, geodesic three-person tent rated for year-round, four-season use — from forested campsites to alpine terrain. It uses DAC Featherlite NSL aluminum poles and a tapered floor plan that reduces wind resistance on one end of the tent.
A 177 cm head width tapering to 152 cm at the foot makes more efficient use of interior volume than a rectangular footprint; total floor area is 3.5 m² with a 114 cm peak height. At 2550 g (2350 g minimum) for three occupants, that works out to roughly 850 g per person — solid for a four-season tent, though not ultralight. The 15D nylon ripstop fly with silicone/PU coating carries a 1200 mm waterproof rating, the 30D nylon floor with PeU coating rates to 3000 mm, and a 20D nylon ripstop inner tent with partial mesh keeps condensation in check.
A single 1.21 m² vestibule and one door are supplemented by both a peak vent and a door vent, letting moisture escape even with the tent closed up. A gear loft is included.
