Sea to Summit Alto TR1

The Alto TR1 is a one-person ultralight tent built around Sea to Summit's patented Tension Ridge design, which uses a cross pole to pull the ceiling outward and upward. The result is a taller, roomier interior (102 cm peak height) than a comparable-weight standard dome tent typically offers. At a trail weight of 975 g, the TR1 sits among the lighter semi-freestanding 3-season tents; the fly is 15D sil-PeU nylon and the floor is 15D nylon rated to a 1,200 mm hydrostatic head. It has a single door with a 0.7 m² vestibule, which, combined with a 1.81 m² floor area, gives decent room to stash a pack and boots outside the sleeping area. The 44 × 11 cm packed size stays compact given the two poles required to pitch it. It's built for solo hikers on spring-through-autumn multi-day trips and thru-hikes, where every gram matters but you're not willing to give up the stability of a semi-freestanding pitch.
