The TarpTent Double Rainbow DW Ultra is a 2-person double-wall tunnel tent built from Challenge Sailcloth Ultra TNT laminate with a silicone-PU coating — a fabric that's both lighter and stronger than standard silnylon, which keeps the total weight to 1121 g. The semi-freestanding design relies on a single Easton 3.9 carbon arch pole, trekking-pole compatible, over a 20D ripstop nylon floor rated to a 4000 mm water column with a bathtub construction. A 2.84 m² floor (224 × 127 cm) and 102 cm peak height give it decent room for two at 561 g per person, and two vestibules totaling 1.4 m² with two separate doors mean neither occupant has to climb over the other. Seams come factory-taped, and the partial mesh keeps it warmer than fully-meshed tents at the cost of some ventilation in hot weather. It ships with two interior pockets and 6 Easton Nano aluminum stakes; a footprint is sold separately. It's aimed squarely at ultralight backpacking and thru-hiking use.
