The TarpTent Notch is a 1-person double-wall shelter pitched with two trekking poles, with no dedicated poles included. The fly is 30D silpoly ripstop, the bathtub floor 30D silnylon, and the tent weighs 789 g fully set up, dropping to 737 g in its minimum trail configuration. The inner is only partially mesh, helping airflow but letting in a bit more draft in cold weather than a fully-mesh inner would.
Despite being a solo tent, it has its own door and vestibule on each side — a layout more about getting in and out without climbing over your own gear than about sleeping two people. Water column ratings of 1200 mm on the fly and 2000 mm on the floor point to a shelter built for light-to-moderate rain rather than sustained downpours. It is not freestanding — six stakes plus tension from the trekking poles hold its shape — and the seams need user sealing before the first trip. A 114 cm peak height is enough to sit up in but not stand, a common trade-off for lightweight trekking-pole tents.
