Its 2 L/min flow rate is on the fast side for the category, filtering a liter in well under a minute. Total system weight is 63 g including the flexible 0.6 L flask, making it one of the lightest filters on the market and a natural fit for thru-hiking or trail running, where every gram counts. The membrane needs no priming before first use and cleans with a simple shake rather than a backflush syringe. The 42 mm thread is also compatible with inline hydration bladder setups. Cartridge lifespan is rated at 1000 liters by the manufacturer. The filter doesn't remove chemicals or heavy metals, so in areas with chemical contamination it needs to be paired with another treatment method.
