The Copper Spur UL3 XL stretches the three-person tent to a 244 × 183 cm (4.5 m²) floor with 114 cm of peak height — enough headroom for three people with gear, or a couple who want real breathing room. The build stays a freestanding double-wall dome on DAC Featherlite aluminum poles, pitched inner-first, with side-opening doors that make entry easier without climbing over a tent-mate. Fly and floor use 15D nylon with 20D ripstop reinforcement and HyperBead™ treatment at a 1,500 mm waterproof rating, and the inner body is partial mesh. Minimum weight of 1,630 g works out to 610 g per person, a reasonable figure for backpacking or bikepacking, helped by trekking-pole compatibility for anyone wanting to shave further weight. Notably, the tent's Fast Fly weight — fly, poles and footprint, no inner body — is listed around 1,340 g, a meaningful cut versus the full setup.
