Tarptent NOTCH Li

The NOTCH Li is a one-person double-wall DCF trekking-pole tent that pairs an unusually high waterproof rating — 20,000 mm HH on both fly and floor — with a trail weight of 553 g, dropping the standard 607 g packed figure by over 50 g once stakes and stuff sack are excluded. The tapered mummy shape (86 cm head width narrowing to 51 cm at the foot) yields 1.42 m² of floor space under a 109 cm peak. Two D-doors and two vestibules total 1.48 m², a vestibule area that actually exceeds the floor space itself — generous room for packs, boots, and cooking under cover. Factory-taped seams mean no field sealing, and partial mesh on the inner tent balances ventilation against wind protection. Being non-freestanding and trekking-pole dependent, it needs taut pitching on firm ground; four Easton Nano stakes and reflective guy lines keep the footprint minimal while remaining visible at camp. For thru-hikers already carrying poles, it's a compact, wet-weather-capable option near the lighter end of double-wall DCF shelters.
