The Marmot Superalloy 3P scales up the same platform as the 2P model into a three-person shelter — a semi-freestanding, semi-geodesic build with two DAC NFL Aluminum poles, double-wall construction, and an inner-first pitch. Minimum weight of 1,310 g and packaged weight of 1,520 g translate to 437 g and 507 g per person, still a light figure for a three-season tent sleeping three. The fly here is 20D nylon with a polyurethane coating rated to 1,200 mm, and the floor is polyurethane-coated polyester at 1,500 mm — a slightly different material combination than its 2P sibling, but comparable overall durability. A 3.5 m² floor and two 1.2 m² vestibules work out to 1.17 m² per person, which with three occupants means tighter sharing rather than generous personal space. Reflective guy lines and 7 stakes help with pitching in low visibility. No footprint is included, though one is sold separately. A good fit for groups of three, or two hikers with gear, prioritizing low per-person weight while keeping three-season weather protection.
