The Mountain Hardwear Aspect 2 Tent is a freestanding, double-wall dome tent built for two people and rated for three-season use — spring through fall, not winter snow loads. Two DAC Featherlight NFL aluminum poles support a pitch-inner-first setup, so the tent stands on its own without needing stakes to hold its shape, useful on rocky or platform campsites. The 20D sil/sil nylon fly (1200mm) and 40D ripstop nylon bathtub floor (1500mm) give it reasonable weather resistance without piling on weight. At 1530g total (1324g minimum trail weight), the Aspect 2 sits toward the lighter end of conventional double-wall two-person tents, though it won't compete with trekking-pole ultralight shelters. A 2.7m² floor and 104cm peak height provide workable room for two sleeping pads and gear, while the dual doors and vestibules (0.86m² combined) let each occupant enter and store boots without climbing over a tentmate. Three interior pockets and factory-taped seams round out a design built for comfortable backpacking rather than expedition use.
