Compared with the smaller AC 2, it adds a fuller feature set: one vestibule, two doors, a full snow skirt, and four adjustable vents for better airflow. The frame uses four aluminum DAC Featherlight NSL poles, the fly is 50D nylon ripstop rated to 10,000mm, and the bathtub floor in 30D ripstop holds 4,000mm — specs chosen for durability rather than low weight. Total weight of 3661 g (3230 g minimum) reflects that priority; per person that works out to 1220 g, a typical figure for expedition-grade tents. Floor area of 4.3 m² and six interior pockets give three occupants room for themselves and gear, though space efficiency per kilogram trails smaller 2-person designs.
