Mountain Hardwear Aspect 3 Tent

The Mountain Hardwear Aspect 3 Tent is a freestanding, double-wall dome tent for three, marketed for both standard backpacking and thru-hiking use. Two DAC Featherlite NFL aluminum poles handle the pitch-inner-first setup, and the tent is not trekking-pole compatible — it relies entirely on its own poles to hold shape, unlike single-pole ultralight pyramids. The 20D nylon ripstop fly (1200mm) and 40D nylon ripstop bathtub floor (1500mm) form a durable, if not especially light, fabric package. At 1874g (1664g minimum) and 625g per person at full three-person capacity, the Aspect 3 sits on the heavier side of its class. Used by two people instead of three, it becomes a genuinely roomy shelter, with 3.83m² of floor space and a 109cm peak height. Two vestibules (0.89m² combined) and four interior pockets cover storage needs, and factory-taped seams mean no home seam-sealing is required out of the box. A footprint isn't included but is sold separately, which is worth factoring into total pack weight if you plan to use one.
