Mountain Hardwear Nimbus UL 1 Tent

The Mountain Hardwear Nimbus UL 1 Tent is a solo, semi-geodesic, semi-freestanding shelter built around a single DAC Featherlight NFL wishbone pole rather than trekking poles, so it pitches with its own dedicated pole instead of relying on hiking poles you may or may not carry. The semi-geodesic shape, versus a simple dome, generally handles wind better for a one-pole design. Trail weight is 770 g, rising to 872 g packed, with a 20D silicone-coated nylon fly at 1200 mm and a 30D ripstop nylon floor at 1500 mm. Floor space is compact at 1.83 m² (218 x 97 cm, 97 cm head width narrowing to 71 cm at the foot), with a single door, one 0.36 m² vestibule, and two interior pockets – enough for boots and a pack, not much more. Eight DAC aluminum J-stakes are needed for the semi-freestanding pitch, reflecting reliance on staking rather than pole rigidity. There's no snow skirt, gear loft, or included footprint, keeping the feature list – and the weight – to the essentials for thru-hiking and ultralight solo use.
