The Double Rainbow is a semi-freestanding, single-wall two-person tent built around a single Easton aluminum arch pole (8.6 mm), with the option to pitch fully freestanding by adding trekking poles at the vestibule ends. At 1,190 g packed and 1,083 g at minimum trail weight, it sits above true ultralight territory but remains competitive for weekend and multi-day backpacking where slightly more livable space is worth the extra grams. Floor area is 2.84 m² (1.42 m² per person) under a peak height of 107 cm, with two vestibules totalling 1.39 m² for gear. The 30D silnylon fly and floor carry 5,000/3,000 mm HH ratings, and since the seams aren't factory-taped, users need to apply seam sealer before first use. Built-in condensation gutters along the fly help manage the moisture single-wall designs are prone to, and reflective guy lines improve visibility at camp. With six stakes and two interior pockets, it is a practical, forgiving choice for hikers who want tent-like stability without a full double-wall setup.
