Tarptent Double Rainbow DW

The Double Rainbow DW takes the semi-freestanding Double Rainbow platform and adds a full double-wall build, trading a bit of simplicity for better condensation control and a warmer feel in cooler conditions. It can be pitched either with two trekking poles or an optional arch-pole kit, and shares the same 2.84 m² floor footprint (1.42 m² per person) and 224 × 127 cm dimensions as the single-wall original. The fly is 20D silpoly rated above 5,000 mm HH, paired with a 30D silnylon floor also rated to 5,000 mm — a notably robust floor for this weight class. Weighing in around 1,178 g with a minimum configuration near 1,110 g, it lands close to its single-wall sibling despite the added inner tent, reflecting how much weight a well-executed double-wall design can save versus older two-pole tents. Two vestibules, six DAC J-stakes, and two interior pockets round out the practical details. Because the silpoly/silnylon combination doesn't need factory seam taping the way DCF does, no additional field sealing is required.
