Tarptent MoTrail

The MoTrail is a two-person single-wall trekking-pole tent with an asymmetric A-frame profile: 119 cm of peak height at the door end tapering lower toward the foot, a shape that trades some symmetry for a slightly more efficient use of fabric per gram. Packed weight is 964 g, dropping to 927 g minimum trail — around 464-482 g per person for a genuine two-person shelter, solidly in ultralight backpacking range. Floor area is 2.8 m² (213 × 132 cm), with a single door and one 1.17 m² vestibule rather than the dual-entry layout of some Tarptent siblings, which keeps weight down but means both occupants share one access point. The 30D silnylon fly and floor carry a silicone treatment that means seams don't require additional field sealing. As a non-freestanding design pitched with trekking poles and four stakes, setup depends on firm ground and taut guy-lines; two interior pockets add basic organization for a shelter built around minimizing pack weight for thru-hiking pairs.
