Tarptent StratoSpire Li

The Tarptent StratoSpire Li is the Dyneema Composite Fabric (DCF) version of the StratoSpire family — a two-person, double-wall pyramid/tipi-style shelter pitched with two trekking poles and zero dedicated tent poles. At 839 g total, or roughly 420 g per person split between two hikers, it is markedly lighter than the silnylon and sil-poly StratoSpire 1 and 2, which is the main reason to pay the DCF premium. Both fly and floor are factory-taped DCF rated to more than 8000 mm hydrostatic head — well beyond what silnylon shelters in this catalog offer — with a partial mesh, 10D ripstop nylon inner keeping weight down while still managing condensation and bugs. Two doors and two vestibules (1.12 m² combined) provide separate entry and storage for each occupant, a real advantage over single-door ultralight shelters when sharing with a tent-mate. This shelter targets thru-hikers and ultralight backpackers who already use trekking poles and want the lowest realistic weight for a genuinely double-wall, two-person setup, and who are prepared for the higher cost and more careful handling that DCF fabric typically demands.
