Tarptent PROTRAIL Li

The PROTRAIL Li is a single-wall DCF shelter for one, using 0.51 oz DCF for the fly and a slightly heavier 0.96 oz DCF floor for added durability underfoot. It pitches as a non-freestanding A-frame with two trekking poles in under two minutes, and at 453 g minimum trail weight against 504 g packed, it's among the lightest full-floor shelters in the Tarptent range. The tapered floor (107 cm head width, 76 cm foot width) delivers 1.95 m² of interior space with a 114 cm peak height, and a 0.93 m² vestibule adds room for a pack and boots. The floor's 10,000 mm HH rating exceeds the fly's 8,000 mm, a sensible bias toward ground moisture resistance. Factory-taped seams remove the need for field sealing, and partial mesh on the inner keeps ventilation reasonable. With a space efficiency figure among the best in this lineup, it suits thru-hikers and bikepackers chasing a minimal base weight, provided they're comfortable with DCF's lower abrasion resistance and non-freestanding pitch.
