MSR Hubba Hubba 3-Person Backpacking Tent

The MSR Hubba Hubba 3-Person is the three-person version of the popular freestanding double-wall line, built on two Easton Syclone composite poles. Like its smaller siblings, it pitches quickly without relying on stakes to hold its shape, useful on rocky or hard ground where staking is difficult. Both the fly and floor are 20D ripstop nylon with a PU coating and a 1200mm waterproof rating, with factory-taped seams; the 10D nylon inner with partial mesh handles ventilation. Two vestibules totaling 1.39 m² give three people room to store gear, while a 3.67 m² floor area (1.22 m² per person) and 117 cm peak height provide solid, if not generous, group space. At a minimum weight of 1550 g (517 g per person), it's reasonable for a freestanding three-person tent — split three ways, the per-person weight approaches that of lighter two-person tents, making it a practical choice for group backpacking and longer treks where reliability matters more than shaving every gram.
